​This role will handle concert event management at Roseland Theater. This position is the face of the venue for events to tour management, promoters, vendors, and other stakeholders, playing a crucial part in delivering an outstanding back-of-house experience.

Job Overview

Responsibilities:

​

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the venue and promoters, tour managers, and other stakeholders; accurately advance all production and facility needs for successful event execution

  • Create and distribute detailed advance documents prior to every event, outlining show requests and department-specific duties, ensuring events are executed at the highest level

  • Coordinate and procure necessary production rentals (e.g., forklifts, scaffolding, spotlights, video, lighting, gases) in advance of events

  • Manage relationships with partners and vendors, including local production and labor companies

  • Understand and communicate venue capabilities and limitations in production – including rigging, lighting, audio, and more

  • Partner with the General Manager & Operations Manager to manage relationships of in-house Production Crew – including hiring, training, and mentoring

  • Partner with the Systems Engineer to manage relationships with house audio and lighting technicians

  • Use AutoCAD or similar drafting software to create detailed floorplans

  • Partner with the General Manager to manage the logistics of VIP experiences, merchandise, and other ancillary aspects of concerts and events

  • Communicate general staffing requirements to appropriate departments

  • Monitor show budgets and accurately communicate expenditures to the GM for settlement

  • Serve as a resource to and assist other sister venues by providing labor, support, guidance, and sharing best practices to ensure consistent operations and enhance overall performance throughout a network of venues

  • Utilize your extensive experience in production management within the club and theater level to oversee all aspects of production.

  • Handle settlements for promoters and artists, ensuring financial accuracy.

  • Collaborate with vendors to source production requirements, ensuring the seamless execution of shows.

  • Advance shows at the club and theater levels, meticulously planning and coordinating logistics.

  • Foster strong relationships with artists and tour crews, ensuring their needs are met while staying within budget constraints.

  • Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, maintaining composure and efficiency under pressure.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager

​​Qualifications:

​

  • Minimum of three to five (3-5) years’ experience in technical production and events

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and other standard office software

  • Knowledge of operational characteristics of events, including crowd management and control techniques, fire and public safety regulations, and relevant federal, state, and local regulations preferred

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.

  • Desire to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, such as long and irregular hours that may vary due to event schedule, may include mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended number of consecutive days

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in outdoor environments, as well as stand, walk, and move for extended periods of time, including long hours on feet during events
